Vystorm Boards | Live Map Billboards with Placeholders

Requires Vystorm Core (free) – the shared base of all Vystorm plugins (English/German language files, in-game config editor, update check). Just drop one extra jar into plugins/, no setup.


Live billboards for your server: images, texts, placeholders, player heads and buttons on item-frame maps. Hang a board of any size on a wall with one command and fill it with images, styled texts, live placeholders, player faces, progress bars and buttons. Every player can see their own version: "Hello Steve", their rank, their balance.


Content

• One command. /boards create <name> <width> <height> while looking at a wall: invisible glow frames with maps appear. Up to 16×16 frames.
• Images. PNG and JPG from the images folder, fitted and dithered for the map palette.
• Styled text. MiniMessage colours and styles, any font and size, alignment, shadow. Texts shrink to fit their box.
• Live placeholders. {player}, {online}, {max}, {time}, {date}, {world} and every PlaceholderAPI placeholder.
• Per player. Boards with placeholders, the viewer's head or permission-only elements are drawn for each player; everything else once for everyone.
• Permission elements. Show a VIP banner only to VIPs (permission: vip), or an offer only to players without a rank ('!vip').
• Progress bars. Fed by placeholders: a server goal, a vote party, the player's balance.

Buttons

• Click areas run a command as the player or the console, or send a message. Left and right click both work.
• Per page and permission. Tie a click area to a page (page: 2) or a permission (permission: vip / '!vip'); players who don't match click through to the area underneath.
• Cooldowns. Give a click area a per-player cooldown, for example cooldown: 86400 for a daily reward button. The cooldown survives relogging.

Pages and animation

• Animated GIFs play on the board.
• Pages. Rotate through several pages (news, rules, shop) every few seconds.
• Safe and light. Frames cannot be broken, rotated or emptied. Content is redrawn only when it actually changes, and boards survive restarts.

Commands & permissions

All commands need vystormboards.admin (OP). Clicking boards needs no permission; commands behind a click check their own permissions when run as the player.

• /boards create <name> <width> <height> – Create a board on the wall you look at; from the console with <world> <x> <y> <z> <facing>
• /boards info <name> – Size, pages, mode and map ids
• /boards list, /boards remove <name> – List or remove boards
• /boards reload – Reload boards.yml and the config
