The commands, animated figures, Santa's sleigh, the Grinch, the advent calendar, Secret Santa, the bank, roles, mini-games and everything else described below come from our plugin WeihnachtsMC for Paper 26.3 servers.

Easiest way to get everything: put the plugin on a Paper server, set level-seed=270 in server.properties and start with a new world. The plugin then builds this exact village by itself, with all features working. Recommended extras: BetterModel (animated figures) and LuckPerms (roles).

The map download on its own is for exploring the village in singleplayer, without figures, events or commands.

This is the spawn village from our private Christmas server 2026: a cozy North Pole town in a world made only of snow biomes. My friends and I built it for our holidays, and now everyone can explore it.

What's inside

• Santa's Workshop with a clock tower and a gift machine
• The Elf Post Office, the inn Zum Goldenen Rentier, a gingerbread bakery and Santa's own house
• An ice rink with a skate rental and a hot chocolate stand
• A chapel on the hill with a nativity scene and stained-glass windows
• A reindeer stable with a sleigh garage
• A big Christmas market with around 60 stalls next to the plaza with a giant Christmas tree
• Every building has a full interior, decorated down to the last cookie

How to play the map

• Minecraft Java Edition 26.3. Unzip the folder into .minecraft/saves.
• The world brings its own resource pack (resources.zip) and datapack (snow world, paintings, music discs). Accept them when the game asks.
• Areas you haven't visited yet are generated as a snowy world.

Bring it to life on a server

The animated figures, Santa's sleigh, the Grinch, the advent calendar, Secret Santa, the economy and all the mini-games come from our Paper plugin WeihnachtsMC (on Modrinth). Put the plugin on a Paper 26.3 server together with this world. All in-game texts are in German. Here is how everything works:

📖 Commands & setup guide

Every command has info, e.g. /secretsanta info. /xmas help lists everything you may use (click an entry for its explanation). All commands also work with their German names (/wichteln, /ziel, /baum …).

🛠️ First setup (admins)

Most of the village sets itself up: the Christmas tree, the donation chest, the mailbox and the market stalls are placed automatically when the spawn village generates. A few things you place yourself by looking at a block or standing on the spot:

🎁 Secret Santa — /secretsanta

1. Admin or postman opens the sign-up: /secretsanta admin signup open (close when done).
2. Players join: /secretsanta join (leave to back out).
3. Draw names: /secretsanta admin draw (redraw if needed). Everyone learns privately who they give a present to.
4. Players wrap their gift: /secretsanta wrap (pick a paper colour), optional card: /secretsanta card <text>.
5. Drop the parcel into the mailbox or use /secretsanta deliver.
6. Gift giving: /secretsanta admin giftgiving. All presents appear under the tree.
7. Reveal who had whom: /secretsanta admin reveal.

Also: /secretsanta status, admin add|remove <player>, admin swap <a> <b>, admin status.

🎄 Community goals & the tree — /goal, /tree

Everyone collects materials together. Right-click the donation chest next to the tree and put items in. Each finished goal makes the tree grow one stage (1–10, star and light show at the end).

• Players: /goal (current goal), /goal bossbar (progress bar on/off), /tree (stage and location).
• Admin: /goal admin list|start <goal>|complete|reset <goal>, /tree grow, /tree stage <n>, /tree new.

📋 Notice board (daily quests) — /quest

Every day new tasks hang on the board: deliver items, bring parcels, get things done. Right-click the board and click a task to accept it. Hand it in at the board or directly at the named figure. Rewards are paid in Taler, and roles get extra, better-paid jobs (★). /quest shows your list on the go. The tasks are defined in quests.yml.

💰 Bank & Taler — /bank

Taler is the village currency. All stalls, figure shops and villagers trade in Taler. Everyone starts with 500.

• /bank balance, /bank deposit [amount], /bank withdraw <amount>, /bank exchange (emeralds 1:1 into Taler), /bank pay <player> <amount>.
• Deposit, withdraw and exchange only work at the bank counter. Interest: 1 % per day.
• Banker: /bank loan <player> <amount>, /bank accounts.

🧑‍🍳 Roles — /role

Roles are LuckPerms groups (rolle_<id>), created automatically. Role holders get an icon, a daily wage and 100 % of the sales in their shop.

• Baker (baecker): kneads and decorates cookies.
• Innkeeper (gastwirt): inn, mulled wine and punch stalls.
• Rink manager (eismeister): /skate contest start <minutes>, /skate contest stop, /skate board.
• Postman (postbote): runs Secret Santa (/secretsanta admin …).
• Snowball master (schneeballmeister): builds arenas and starts snowball fights.
• Banker (bankier): loans and accounts.
• /role list shows who has which role, and /role icon <role|all> picks the icon you show.

🍪 Baking — /bake

1. Crafting table: flour = 2 wheat, butter = milk bucket.
2. Cookie dough = 2 flour + egg + sugar + butter (baker only).
3. Stonecutter: cut stars, gingerbread men and three more shapes.
4. Smoker = oven. In a normal furnace about a third burns!
5. Cookie + sugar = decorated (baker only), more nutritious and gives speed.

The bakery buys cookies, and decorated ones bring more.

⛸️ Ice skating — /skate

Put on skates and step on ice: glide, build momentum, jump higher. Tricks are spin jumps, pirouettes, curves, backwards skating and a hockey stop (sneak at full speed). Chaining different tricks gives a combo up to x4, and skating side by side is a pair skate. From 300 points the penguin jury gives scores. /skate top shows the ranking.

❄️ Snowball fight — /snowball

• Admin or snowball master builds an arena: arena create <name>, arena pos1|pos2 <name>, arena spawn <name> rot|gruen|ffa, arena list|delete.
• Play: /snowball start <arena> [teams|ffa] [minutes], then /snowball invite <player|@a>, then /snowball go, and stop to end.
• Players: /snowball join, /snowball leave. Inventories are saved and given back afterwards.

🎱 Bingo — /bingo

Collect the items on your card. A full line is Bingo, and in lockout mode a field belongs to whoever gets it first. /bingo shows your card, /bingo join lets you play along. Admin: /xmas start bingo-start <solo|teams> [linie|lockout|voll] [minutes], /bingo stop, /bingo team <player> <team>.

🎅 Santa, Grinch, New Year

• Santa drops presents on parachutes. Right-click one to open it, some are rare or even epic. Admin: /santa now [player], /santa here, /santa gift <rarity>, /santa auto on|off, /santa interval <min> <max>, /santa window <from> <to>, /santa cleanup.
• Grinch raid: fight together through several phases, and if he escapes with the sack, chase him. /grinch checks whether he is around. Admin: /grinch start [here], /grinch stop.
• New Year: countdown at the tree, then a big fireworks show. Admin: /newyear start, /newyear stop, /fireworks show [seconds], /fireworks stop.

📅 Advent calendar — /advent

A door opens every day (19.12.–6.1. by default, configurable in kalender.yml) with a story chapter and rewards. Missed doors can be opened later with a bit less inside. Admin: /advent admin reset <player>, /advent admin doors.

🎨 Decoration, graves & more

• /deco: buy decoration at the market. Right-click the ground to place it, right-click to rotate, sneak + left-click to pick it up. Fairy lights take two clicks (start and end), and chairs can be sat on.
• /grave: when you die, your items go into a gravestone, and /grave shows where it is.
• /emote <name> (/e): wave, dance, snow angel, sit … Two players together can /emote abklatschen (high five) or umarmen (hug). /emote stop ends it.
• /ambience mute: turns the building music off or on for you.
• /achievements: the Christmas advancements are in the advancement screen (key L).
• /wrapped book: your personal season review. Admin: /wrapped create, preview, export (award show).
• /spawn: back to the village square.

🔐 Permissions

• weihnachtsmc.admin (op): all admin rights.
• weihnachtsmc.spieler (everyone): all player rights.
• Per feature: weihnachtsmc.<feature> and weihnachtsmc.<feature>.admin for ziel, baum, santa, kalender, wichteln, deko, erfolge, silvester, schneeball, bingo, grinch, wrapped, grab, emote, eislauf.
• Roles: weihnachtsmc.rolle.<id>.
