Content

Items and Blocks

• Pieces of Lament: craftable or dropped by the Wickman/Frostwick and Hallowed Mother; combine into the Lament Configuration.
• Lament Configuration: use it for a fiery ritual that carries you to the Nether's closest Netherrealm arena; and then back to where you used it in the Overworld.
• Soulless Jack o'Mimic: the arena altar; place the Lament Configuration in it to awaken a boss (Gourdwyrm), take it back out to forfeit.
• Harvest Crown: a thin gold crown with a tiny jack o'lantern for the forepiece; gives night vision, lights your way, and Jack o'Mimics won't target you.
• Gourdwyrm Trophy: a decorative trophy block. (please like this please)

Mobs

• Jack o'Mimic: a hopping, biting pumpkin that spawns naturally in Pumpkin Patch friendly biomes; may drop Jack o'Mimic Seeds when killed by a player.
• Lurking Jack o'Mimic: looks like a vanilla carved pumpkin or jack o'lantern; wakes into a Jack o'Mimic after a player lingers nearby for 5-8 seconds or when hit/right-clicked!
• Floating Candles: candles near you can wake while you hold the Pumpkin Mace or during the Harvest (Haunted Harvest Night); touch them to start a conga line of up to 12, and a 13th turns the line into 3 Spectral Jack o'Mimic allies!
• Floating Book: wakes from an enchanting table when you enchant (enemy), or from nearby chiseled bookshelves (neutral); returns to its home shelf like a bee, and can drop lapis.
• Floating Lantern: hanging soul lanterns wake at night; right-click to claim one (one per player); it lights your way and sears nearby hostiles; sneak-right-click to release it.
• Floating Skull: skeleton skulls near you wake at night; skeletons killed at night can leave one behind.
• Floating Sword: can rise from a campfire when food finishes cooking; hostile.
• Floating Shears: can appear when shearing sheep or when a lamb grows up; shears sheep and leaves.
• Floating Hoe: can appear when tilling or when a crop fully grows; tills soil.
• Haunted Armor Stand: armor stands near you get haunted at night; they turn and hop toward you when you aren't looking, and revert at dawn.
• Spectral Jack o'Mimic: a ghostly flying companion that fights for you.

Bosses

• The Wickman: kindle (right-click) a jack-o-lantern headed mob with the Pumpkin Mace to summon it; spawns healing Vigil Candles nearby, throws pumpkin bombs, and its head breaks off to fight on its own at low health; it's weaker in the rain and drops Piece of Lament, One.
• The Frostwick: kindle (right-click) a snow golem instead for a frost variant of the Wickman that throws frost volleys. (also drops Piece of Lament, One)
• Hallowed Mother: rises from a pumpkin-patch field at night once you have 5 hallowed allies (accept or deny the prompt in chat); spits out Jack o'Mimic broods, drags your allies with a vine, eats, and leaves poison clouds nearby. She retreats at dawn, and drops Piece of Lament, Two.
• Gourdwyrm: a segmented pumpkin wyrm in the Netherrealm arena (in the Nether); circles, burrows, and charges with different attack phases; drops the Harvest Crown and a Gourdwyrm Trophy.

Progression / Mechanics

Pumpkin Mace

• Pumpkin Mace: crafted from a pumpkin and a stick; smash attacks like the vanilla mace, but from a shorter initial distance.
• Mace Growth: kills of pumpkin-headed mobs evolve it: Carved (5), Lit (15, gives light), Blazing (25, brighter and ignites targets), Thorned (50, +5 thorn damage).
• Spectral Companions: every 5 pumpkin kills with the mace summons a Spectral Jack o'Mimic ally.
• Pumpkin King: lantern-headed mobs won't target a player holding the Pumpkin Mace.

Allies

• Hallowing: right-click a carved-pumpkin headed mob with the Pumpkin Mace to make it your ally; costs 1 heart and 15 durability, up to 5 allies.
• Hallowed Allies: follow and defend you, hunt nearby monsters, hit harder at night, teleport to you when far away, and are logged out with you when you log out.
• Stay: right-click your hallowed ally (empty hand; any item for Jack o'Mimics) to make it stay or follow, like a tamed wolf.
• Jack o'Mimic Seeds: plant on farmland; the stem remembers who planted it and grows dormant pumpkins that wake after 30 seconds as that player's allied Jack o'Mimic (max 10 per player per dimension).

Haunted Harvest Mechanics

• Haunted Harvest Night: every 8th night in the Overworld (1st night and onward); candles, books, shears, and more awaken more often!
• Pumpkin Patches: can generate in plains and forests, with stems, vines, grass, an active Jack o'Mimic, and an enemy lurking in the open…
• Pumpkin Heads: zombies, skeletons and their variants sometimes spawn wearing a carved pumpkin (15%), sometimes lit as a Jack o'Lantern.
• Pumpkin Smashing: hitting a pumpkin, carved pumpkin or jack o'lantern with a Mace or Pumpkin Mace smashes it instantly with normal drops; 10% are rotten and burst into a poison cloud.
• Dynamic Light: lit mobs, jack o'lantern heads and lit maces light up the area around them.
• Advancements: a full Spookiness advancement tree.
