Go Karts for RP Engine | Kart Racing with Drifts, Items, Jumps and Four Tracks

What is it?
A whole kart racing game for your server. Eight karts on the grid, three red lights, then green, then three laps. Drift through the corners for a boost, fly off ramps and land tricks in the air, take the shortcuts, and drive through item boxes for bananas, nitro and homing rockets.

It is an addon for RP Engine: drop it in beside the engine and it brings its own content with it. The karts, helmets, items, effects, sounds and the whole racing HUD install themselves on first boot. No resource pack to build and no client mods.

• ✔ Items: nitro, triple nitro, bananas and rockets. The leader gets bananas to defend with, the back of the field gets rockets to catch up.
• ✔ The HUD: a live minimap with every racer on it, your place, lap and time, a speed gauge, start lights and the standings.
• ✔ Results: every driver's time, best lap and face, and the track's lap record.

Four tracks, built for you
/kart track generate <id> [meadow|desert|frost|neon] builds a whole circuit in a few seconds, in a new world of its own, so it replaces nothing. Each has a jump, a shortcut, boost pads, item boxes, a grandstand and a lobby.

• Sunny Meadows: a jump over a river and a tunnel through a hill.
• Dune Canyon: a jump over a canyon and a lower road along its floor.
• Frostbite Peak: a figure of eight that crosses itself on a bridge, and a frozen lake to slide across.
• Neon Nights: a city at midnight with an elevated road and a back alley.

/kart track undo <id> confirm takes the last one back.

Installing

1. Install RP Engine 0.2.45 or newer (free) if you have not already.
2. Drop RPE-gokarts.jar into plugins/ beside RPEngine.jar and start the server.
3. As an op, run /kart track generate main, then /kart join and /kart start. Alone is fine.

Every kart, helmet, animation, effect and the whole HUD were made in ResourcePack AI, and every kart is an ordinary RP Engine vehicle. Go Karts is built on RP Engine's public API, the same one any plugin can use, so it is a good look at what you can build on it.
