14 Souls-like bosses for Minecraft Bedrock

Your world is no longer safe.

Rise of Boss brings Dark Souls-style boss fights to Minecraft Bedrock. Fourteen giant bosses now live across your world, each waiting in its own arena. Every one has a hand-crafted model, dozens of animations, its own soundtrack and a moveset you will have to learn the hard way.

These are not mobs you can defeat by spamming attacks. Watch the wind-ups, dodge at the right moment, punish openings and adapt when the boss turns furious in its second phase.

THE BOSSES

Ancient Yeti
A frost giant of the frozen peaks. It hurls ice boulders, pounds the ground into ice spikes and freezes everything with its breath.

Sand Leviathan
A colossal worm that hides beneath the desert. It erupts from the sand, spits venom and summons sandstorms.

Underworld Knight
A cursed warrior of the Nether wielding a burning greatsword. Fast combos, leaping slams and rings of fire.

Storm Griffin
Lord of the skies. It dives from above, unleashes feather storms and grabs you to carry you into the air.

Kraken of the Deep
A monster rising from the ocean beside its haunted ship. Tentacle sweeps, ink clouds and whirlpools. At half health it swallows you whole, and you must fight your way out from the inside.

Gorvak the Executioner
A brutal executioner of the Pale Valley. Chain whips, crushing grabs and a merciless final judgment.

Crimson Dragon
The king of the badlands. It takes flight, rains meteors from the sky and burns the arena with its breath.

Spider Queen Nyxara
Ruler of the dark forest. She traps you in webs, climbs out of sight and ambushes you from above.

Void Lord Zerath
A being from the edge of the End. He tears space apart, teleports across the arena and bends the void to his will.

Copper Titan Volkar
An ancient copper colossus. When he awakens, a storm breaks out and lightning strikes the rods around the arena. Charge a coil with that electricity and fire it at the titan. Volkar can only be damaged during the 10 seconds he is stunned.

Forest Warden Thalor
The living guardian of the old woods. Roots burst from the ground, thorns bind you in place and the forest itself fights at his side.

Labyrinth Lord Taurok
A raging minotaur. At half health he teleports you into a massive maze and hunts you through its corridors. Pull all 5 levers to bring him crashing down, leaving him helpless.

Cursed Pharaoh Neferu-Ra
A queen risen from her sand tomb. She commands curses and scarab swarms, and seals you inside a burial chamber that slowly fills with sand. Smash the urns before the sand buries you alive.

Crimson Oni Kagetsu
A demon samurai under the crimson moon. Lightning-fast sword strikes and deadly iai slashes. From time to time he pulls you into a dueling ground where you both race to defeat waves of rivals. Win and he takes 50 damage. Lose and you pay the price.

COMBAT FEATURES

• Two-phase fights: As a boss loses health it becomes enraged, changes appearance and unlocks new attacks.
• Stagger system: Land well-timed hits to stagger a boss and deal bonus damage while it recovers.
• Readable attacks: Every move has a clear wind-up, so skill beats luck.
• Boss atmosphere: The sky darkens and turns gray while you fight, like stepping into a cursed land.
• Unique soundtracks: Every boss has its own music.
• Boss health bar: It shows the boss’s name and phase.

WORLD FEATURES

• Natural arenas: Arenas generate in each boss’s home biome.
• Sigils: Summon any boss on demand with its sigil.
• Loot: Every boss drops unique rewards, from rare materials to special items.
• Sleeping guardians: A boss rests until you step into its arena.

STORY MAPS
Want an adventure? Rise of Boss also comes with two story maps, each with cinematic cutscenes, a kingdom to protect and quests from King Aldren.

• Eldoria: Velkar’s Curse: A young mage’s failed spell turns seven guardians into monsters.
• Eldoria II: Lira’s Betrayal: A jealous student awakens the Forgotten Seven, and Eldoria needs its hero once again.

INSTALLATION

1. Open the .mcaddon file and Minecraft imports it automatically.
2. Create a world or edit an existing one.
3. Activate both the Rise of Boss behavior pack and resource pack.
4. Explore, find an arena and good luck.

TIPS

• Bring a shield, food and good armor. These bosses hit hard.
• Watch the boss, not your health bar. Every attack has a tell.
• When a boss staggers, go all in.

Can you rise above them all?

Some attack names, like Thalor’s roots, Neferu-Ra’s scarabs and Gorvak’s “final judgment”, were chosen to make the bosses sound vivid. Check them against the game and replace any that don’t match.
