Advancements Background Fix

A tiny resource pack that fixes the purple-and-black "missing texture" backgrounds shown on some tabs of the Advancements screen.

The problem

Some advancement tabs (Adventure, Stone/Story, The End, and a few others) display the missing-texture checkerboard instead of their normal background. The game log shows lines like:

Missing resource minecraft:textures/textures/gui/advancements/backgrounds/stone.png.png

The path is doubled: textures/ and .png are added twice. This happens when a datapack declares an advancement tab background using the old full-path format (...textures/gui/advancements/backgrounds/stone.png), while the game now expects a plain texture identifier and adds the folder and extension itself.

How it works

Instead of editing every datapack one by one, this pack provides the textures at the exact (doubled) paths the game is looking for:

The game finds a valid texture, so the tab renders normally. It is purely client-side: no server changes, no datapack edits, no mods required.

Important: this targets specific datapacks

This pack was made for my own modpack and fixes the exact paths I saw in its logs, caused by the specific datapacks it uses. It does not fix the root cause inside those datapacks, and it will not necessarily cover other packs or other tabs.

If you still see a magenta background in your own setup, check latest.log for Missing resource ... .png.png lines. The path tells you which file to add to the pack.
