Fornium is a modpack for max performance. The meaning of this project is to squeeze the maximum performance out of your computer to give you the best possible FPS.

If you've had any issues with low FPS then this modpack is the thing you need.

Potato verified (Tested)

Fornium was tested on a (very) potato machine to prove that the performance gains are measurable and that the framerate is (actually) playable.

• Laptop: Lenovo G710

• CPU: Intel Core i5-4200M 2.5GHz

• RAM: 8GB DDR3 RAM 1600MHz

• GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 820M

• Storage: 1TB Mechanical Hard Drive (WDC WD10JPCX-24UE4TO)

The G710 got over 250FPS (Very good for a laptop released in 2013)

If this potato was able to get those results yours can too.

Rendering

The modpack changes the way graphics are rendered in Minecraft to utilise more FPS. CPU usage is much lower (usage/FPS ratio) and allows higher FPS.

Memory

The modpack reduces memory usage, reducing micro-stutters and more. This creates a overall smoother gameplay.

Faster loading times

Optimisations to the way assets are loaded, reducing the time taken for world generation (especially with old hard drives (HDDs)).

Pure Performance

No content mods, no changes to the way the game is meant to be played. Just vanilla type Minecraft, running much better. (on your potato)

Client-sided

You don't need to install Fornium on a server to get performance gains. Installing it on your computer is enough to get huge performance gains. Play anywhere you want (even on potatoes).
