Sodium Profiles Mod (26.2, 1.20.1) – Switch Between Quality and FPS Settings
Java mod listed for Minecraft 1.20–26.x. Downloads from the MC Java Mods app on Android.
⬇ DownloadSodium Profiles Mod adds video presets to Sodium and lets you switch between them with one key. Press F10 and your whole set of Sodium settings changes at once. You do not need a settings screen or an Apply button. A short message on the action bar shows which preset is active, like Preset: Quality (3/3).

Features:
- Three Built-In Presets: Performance, Balanced and Quality are ready to use right away.
- Your Own Presets: Lets you make up to five presets of your own.
- One-Key Switching: Press F10 to cycle through presets at any point in the game. Press F9 to open the preset screen.
- Full Editor: Change every option of a preset with sliders and buttons. Pick which options a preset touches and which it leaves alone.
- Lets you duplicate, rename, reset and delete presets.
- Works inside the Sodium settings screen as well.
- Shows a message when you switch. On Sodium 0.8 and newer, you can set it to action bar, toast, chat or off.
- Follows your game language. English and Polish are included.
- Runs on the client side only, so it works on any server.
- Works with ModMenu, but ModMenu is not required.
What Built-In Presets Change:
- Render distance and simulation distance.
- Clouds, particles, leaves and vignette.
- Smooth lighting and biome blend.
- Entity distance and entity shadows.
- Mipmaps, texture filtering and culling.
What Presets Never Change:
- VSync, the FPS limit and chunk update threads are left alone by built-in presets, since they depend on your hardware. You can still add them to your own presets.
- GUI scale, brightness, fullscreen, resolution and the attack indicator stay as they are.
- Options that need a game restart are never touched.
Changing mipmaps or texture filtering reloads resources, just like the Apply button in Sodium. For instant switching, keep those two options the same in the presets you cycle through.
How to Use:
- Press F10 in game to switch to the next video preset. The action bar shows its name.
- Press F9 to open the preset screen.
- Create a preset from your current settings. The editor opens right away.
- Check the box next to each option the preset should set. Unchecked options stay as they are when you switch.
- Choose which presets are part of the F10 cycle.
- Change the keys in Options > Controls > Key Binds. The previous preset key is not bound by default.
Configuration:
config/quickprofiles.json: saves all your presets and keeps them after restarts. You can edit it by hand while the game is closed.quickprofiles.json.broken: a broken config file is kept under this name, and the mod starts with default presets.
The same config file works across different Minecraft versions. Options that your Sodium version does not have are skipped.
