The game has a mechanic where the sniffer remembers the last twenty digging spots so that they do not dig up the same spot again. The Forgetful Sniffer mod basically removes this limitation. With this mod installed, sniffers can dig at the same spot consecutively and collect items. This allows you to build sniffer based farms.
