RR Dynamic Torch: Real Light & Secret Powers!

Hey everyone! I am back with a massive update to one of my favorite utility mods. If you are tired of constantly crafting hundreds of torches and placing them every five blocks just to see inside the massive caves of Minecraft 1.21, this addon is going to change your life.

I created the RR Dynamic Torch addon to bring real, smooth dynamic lighting to Bedrock Edition. But I didn't stop there. I completely rebuilt the code for Version 2.0.0 to include hidden superpowers, an off-hand mining system, and an in-game settings menu. It is the ultimate survival tool.

Real Dynamic Lighting (Zero Lag)

In vanilla Minecraft, torches only work when you place them on a block. With this addon, the light literally follows you everywhere you go.

• Main Hand & Off-Hand Support: You can hold the torch in your left hand while keeping your sword or pickaxe in your right hand. As you run, mine, or fight, the area around you stays perfectly lit.
• Normal Torch (Level 15 Light): Holding a regular torch gives you the maximum brightness possible in the game. It completely lights up huge ravines and deep dark biomes.
• Soul Torch (Level 12 Light): If you prefer a darker, spookier vibe for your builds, hold a Soul Torch. It gives a slightly lower, blue-tinted light level which is perfect for Nether exploration.

The Secret Survival Powers

Why just have light when you can have superpowers? I added custom buffs that activate automatically depending on how you use the torches.

• Auto Night Vision: While holding a Normal Torch, the addon grants you a continuous 10-second Night Vision effect. This means you will not only have a glowing light around you, but you will also see clearly into the absolute bottom of water caves and lava lakes.
• Mining Boost (Haste): If you swap to a Soul Torch, the addon automatically gives you a 10-second Haste buff. This is a game-changer for survival. You can instantly mine massive areas of stone, deepslate, or obsidian without needing a fully powered Beacon.
• Superhero Dash (Speed): Getting chased by a horde of zombies or a Warden? Just Sneak (Crouch) while holding any torch, and the addon will give you a 5-second Speed II boost to help you escape instantly.

Battery Mechanics & Multiplayer Ready

I wanted to make sure this addon feels balanced for a true survival experience. It does not feel like a cheap cheat code. I implemented a Battery Mechanic that keeps the gameplay fair and balanced. You have to use your resources smartly.

Also, the code has been heavily optimized for multiplayer Realms. Your friends can all hold torches at the same time, and the server will not experience any frame drops or lag spikes.

The New In-Game Settings Menu

I hate typing complicated commands to change addon settings, so I built a custom Graphic User Interface (GUI) directly into the game.

• How to Open: Just hold a regular Book in your hand, Sneak (Crouch), and hold it for 2 seconds. The Settings Panel will pop up on your screen.
• Full Control: From this panel, you can toggle specific features ON or OFF. Don't want the Night Vision or Speed boost? Just turn them off and use the addon purely for dynamic lighting. It is totally up to you.

Major Bug Fixes in v2.0.0

• Fixed the annoying menu loop bug so the settings panel only opens exactly when you want it to, preventing screen lockups.
• Fixed the sound loop bugs so audio cues play smoothly without overlapping.
• Rewrote the core lighting script to ensure perfectly smooth light updates as you sprint or fly with an Elytra.
