Stardew Valley Food Add-on
Brings all 81 cooking recipes from Stardew Valley into Minecraft Bedrock as fully functional food items. Every dish is craftable at the crafting table using vanilla ingredients, restores hunger, and where applicable applies authentic buff effects when eaten.
Here is an image of the foods added:

Overview
- 81 custom food items added to Minecraft Bedrock
- All foods craftable at the crafting table with vanilla items only
- Custom food effects using Minecraft potion effects
- Soups and stews return a bowl after eating, just like vanilla
- Milk buckets and honey bottles return empty containers when crafting
- Custom item group in the Equipment tab — "Stardew Foods"
- Compatible with survival worlds and existing saves
- No resource conflicts with vanilla items
- More foods (more food) are fun!
Crafting
All recipes use vanilla Minecraft ingredients as stand-ins for their Stardew Valley equivalents. Some substitutions are thematic — prismarine shards for shellfish, nether wart for hot peppers and ginger, chorus fruit for eggplant and rhubarb, nautilus shells for clams and snails, and so on. Recipes are shaped, meaning ingredient placement in the crafting grid matters. Milk buckets and honey bottles are returned as empty containers after crafting.
Effects
Foods that grant buffs in Stardew Valley apply the closest Minecraft equivalent on consumption. The mapping used:
| Stardew Buff | Minecraft Effect |
|---|---|
| Farming / Foraging / Mining | Haste |
| Fishing | Haste |
| Speed | Speed |
| Defense | Resistance |
| Attack / Combat | Strength |
| Max Energy | Health Boost |
| Luck | Saturation* |
*Luck isn't an effect in Bedrock Edition
Effect durations match the real-time buff durations from the Stardew Valley wiki. Foods with no buff in Stardew Valley have no effect here either.
Ginger Ale is a special case — on consumption it clears all negative effects (poison, wither, slowness, weakness, etc.), matching how it cures the Jinxed debuff in Stardew Valley, and also grants a short Saturation boost.
Squid Ink Ravioli applies two separate effects: Haste I for the Mining buff duration, and Resistance I for the shorter Squid Ink Ravioli buff duration.
Notes
- Luck is a Java Edition-only effect and is not available in Bedrock — Saturation is used in its place
- All foods have
can_always_eatset to false, so hunger must not be full to eat - Soups and broths return a bowl when consumed
- This add-on is purely additive and does not modify any vanilla items or behavior
