🐾 Simple Pet Protection
Protects your tamed pets from player attacks, TNT, projectiles, fire, lava, and more.
🐾 Protected Pets
- 🐺 Wolf
- 🐱 Cat
- 🐴 Horse
- 🫏 Donkey
- 🐴 Mule
- 🦜 Parrot
🛡️ Intentionally Blocked — Player-Caused Damage
These sources are blocked by design, as they are typically caused by players:
- ⚔️ entity_attack — Direct player hits
- 💥 block_explosion — Beds in Nether/End, Respawn Anchor
- 💥 entity_explosion — TNT placed by players
- 🏹 projectile — Arrows, tridents, snowballs
- 🧪 magic — Splash & lingering potions
- 🔥 fire / fire_tick / campfire — Player-placed fire
- 🌊 drowning / lava — Player-built traps
- 🧱 suffocation — Block traps
- 🕳️ void — Pushing pets into the void
- ❄️ freezing / contact — Powder snow and cactus traps
- 🪨 stalactite / stalagmite — Cave traps
⚠️ Technical Limitations
Bedrock 1.26+ removed entity filters from damage_sensor, making it impossible to distinguish who caused the damage. As a side effect, the following mob-caused damage is also blocked:
- ⚔️ Mob attacks — Zombies, skeletons, and other mobs cannot hit your pet directly
- 💥 Creeper & Ghast explosions — Blocked alongside TNT via entity_explosion
- 💀 Wither effect — Blocked whether caused by a potion or the Wither boss
⚙️ How It Works
No scripts. No player.json edits. Uses the vanilla damage_sensor component inside each entity's tamed component group. Protection only activates after taming — wild animals behave normally.

- How to install: Download the .mcpack or .mcaddon file. → Open it — Minecraft imports it. → In your world: Behavior Packs → Available → Activate, then the same under Resource Packs.

Install steps are the general flow for this file type — How to install Minecraft Bedrock addons & mods walks through it step by step.
