🌧️ Deluge (WIP Rainwater Flood Mod)
Deluge is an experimental rainwater flooding mod. try at your own risk
How it Actually Works:
-
It is not a rising tide. The mod does not understand valleys, hills, or elevation.
-
It spawns water from the sky. When it rains, the mod drops water source blocks onto any ground exposed to the air.
-
Minecraft physics does the rest. The water sources flows down hills and spreads out to create massive flash floods.
When the sun comes out (clear weather), the mod rapidly attempts to clean up its floodwater. It uses an Ocean-Safe Pulse designed to leave your natural rivers and seas untouched (though this cannot be guaranteed).
-
Smart Spawning: Water only drops on natural ground like dirt, grass, and stone.
-
Property Protection: The flood respects your structures. Water ignores trees and village buildings.
🚩 Critical Warnings & Disclaimer
[!CAUTION]
BRUTAL HONESTY: This mod is a Work In Progress (WIP) and is most definitely broken. IT WILL LIKELY CAUSE CRASHING! NEVER USE THIS ON IMPORTANT WORLDS. By installing this mod, you understand that you WILL have an unstable experience. This mod has flaws, is experimental (You DO NOT need to turn on experimental world settings), and might leave your landscape a mess. I just felt like posting it anyway for fun. Use at your own risk!
[!IMPORTANT]
BACKUP YOUR SAVES: This mod manipulates a large number of blocks dynamically. DO NOT use this on any world you care about without first creating a backup.
[!WARNING]
PERFORMANCE ISSUES: This mod is not well-optimized and may cause heavy lag. It is highly recommended to use this mod on higher-end devices. Flooding breaks grass, tall grass, and leaf litter, flowers, etc. These floating item drops can severely tank your frame rate.
