Lucky Cluck - Chicken Loot Box

So today i am bringing you a really funny and overpowered behavior pack for your survival worlds. If you think about it chickens are basically the most useless mobs in minecraft. You just put them in a hole and they drop eggs and then you kill them for food. It gets so boring and repetitive. So i was thinking what if we make chickens actually useful and fun? What if every chicken in the game was basically a walking lucky block? So I coded the RR Lucky Cluck addon. This pack completely changes how you interact with chickens in the game. Instead of just killing them you can actually gamble with them and get insane loot without doing any hard work.

​How The Lucky Cluck System Works

The system is actually very simple but highly addictive to play. All you have to do is hold any type of seed in your hand. It can be wheat seeds, melon seeds, pumpkin seeds, beetroot seeds or even the new torchflower seeds. Then you just walk up to a normal chicken, hold sneak and feed it. The moment you feed the chicken it will consume your seed, play a cool egg breaking particle effect and instantly drop a random item on the floor. And when i say random I literally mean random. I manually coded over 500 different items into the dynamic loot table. You can get anything from basic colored wool and wood to crazy stuff like armor trims, pottery sherds, music discs, coral blocks and even mob spawn eggs. Imagine getting a warden spawn egg just from feeding a chicken some wheat seeds. You can literally farm the whole game just by sitting next to a chicken with a stack of seeds.

​Rarity Tiers And Insane Loot

To make it balanced and exciting I divided the 500 items into 5 different rarity tiers so you dont get overpowered too fast. Most of the time you will get Common items which is like 58 percent chance. This gives you basic building blocks and food. Then there is Uncommon at 25 percent and Rare at 12 percent which gives you diamonds, enchanted books, iron gear and music discs. But if you get lucky you can hit the Epic tier which is a 4 percent chance and gives netherite gear, smithing templates, totems and heart of the sea. The craziest one is the Legendary tier. It only has a 1 percent chance but if you hit it the chicken will literally drop an elytra, a nether star, a dragon head or a mace. The whole server will get a chat message saying you got a legendary drop. I also added a Golden Cluck chance. Basically every time you feed a chicken there is a 2 percent chance it goes crazy and guarantees an Epic or Legendary drop.

Morning Bonus And Egg Throwing Jackpot

I wanted to add some secret mechanics so the gameplay feels deep and rewarding. If you wake up and feed the chickens right in the morning time in the game, you get a Morning Crow bonus. This automatically upgrades your bad common drops into uncommon drops so you get better loot if you farm early. Also there is a 2 percent chance for a Lucky Bonus where the chicken just drops two items instead of one. Oh and i almost forgot about throwing eggs. Usually throwing eggs is just annoying because it spawns too many baby chickens and lags the server. I added a 10 percent chance that when you throw an egg it literally bursts into a Jackpot and drops random rare loot right where it lands on the ground.

​Milestones And Funny Easter Eggs

Because i love tracking stats I made the addon remember exactly how many chickens you fed across your whole playthrough. Every time you hit a big milestone the game rewards you. At 100 feeds you get a free diamond. At 500 feeds you get a netherite ingot and at 1000 feeds you get a free elytra and become the God of Clucks. There are also some really funny easter eggs in the chat. If you hit 69 or 420 feeds the game says some funny internet messages. Also if you feed a chicken and it randomly drops a raw chicken the game says That is dark in the chat. Or if it drops a feather it says the chicken gave back its own feather. It is so funny when it happens.

​Beta APIs Setup

Because this pack tracks your total feeds using dynamic properties and uses custom item generation tables in the background to handle the 500 items, you absolutely must turn on the Beta APIs experiment in your world settings. If you dont toggle it on the chickens will just eat your seeds normally and nothing will happen so please check your world settings before you start playing or you will be confused.
