Better Mining: Realistic Ore Drops

Have you ever noticed that a Minecraft ore block texture is 70% stone and only 30% mineral? Better Mining bridges the gap between game logic and realistic gathering! When you break an ore, you no longer just get the raw mineral—you also get the rock that encased it.

✨ Core Features

• Realistic Yields: Mining any standard ore drops its vanilla mineral plus 1 to 4 Cobblestone. Deepslate ores naturally drop Cobbled Deepslate, and Nether ores drop Netherrack.

• Fully Fortune Compatible: The addon calculates your exact Fortune enchantment level. Just like your mineral drops multiply, your stone drops scale up perfectly to keep your inventory and block economy balanced.

• Silk Touch Respected: Prefer to keep your ores intact? Mining with Silk Touch completely bypasses the extra stone drops, giving you the pure ore block exactly like vanilla.

• Universal Pickaxe Support: Works flawlessly with all vanilla pickaxes (Wood to Netherite) and automatically supports custom pickaxes from other addons.

🪨 The "Shattered Rock" Logic

Here is a fun, logical detail: The addon checks if you used a pickaxe to break the block, but it doesn't judge the tier of the pickaxe for the stone drop.

If you take a Wooden Pickaxe to a Diamond Ore, vanilla Minecraft won't give you the diamonds because the tool is too weak. However, Better Mining knows you still successfully broke the block! You will shatter the diamonds inside, but you will still get the 1-4 Cobblestone from smashing the rock apart.

• Overworld (Stone & Deepslate): Coal, Iron, Copper, Gold, Redstone (including lit/glowing variants), Emerald, Lapis, and Diamond.

• The Nether: Nether Gold and Nether Quartz.
