Change Nametags
I don't know my version
Open Minecraft and look at the bottom-left corner of the main screen — the version is printed there, like v1.26.30.
The game writes a 1. in front; the buttons above leave it off. v1.26.30 in the game is 26.30 here.

If you want to show the name from the player in the nametag, you just need to write @s, it will automatically replace it with the players name.
With this Addon you can change the nametag from a Player, with the new /nametag command. All what you need to do is to write /nametag set <player> "<new-nametag>".
@s in the Nametag it will automatically replace with the players name or the type ID from the entity and with \\n you can create a new line.
Examples:
/nametag set @p "my new nametag"/nametag set @a[tag=moderator] "§8[§9Moderator§8] @s"/nametag set @n[type=cat] "meow :3"
If you also want to change the name in the chat check Better Chat Messages out!

Verified by MCModsHub
- Save it as Change_Nametags_v1.2.0.mcaddon before opening — it downloads as .mcpack, but it is a .mcaddon pack
- Manifest requires Minecraft 1.21.100 or newer
- Complete pack — everything it depends on is inside the file
- Download size: 21 KB
- Download link checked 15 Sept 2026 — working
These come from our own check of the pack file, not from the source page.
