Configurable Despawn Timer Mod (26.2, 1.20.1) – Custom Lifespans

Configurable Despawn Timer Mod is a simple mod that lets you configure how long blocks stay in the world before disappearing-from 0 to 72,000 ticks (default is 12,000 ticks).

Features:

• Custom Lifespans:
  • Set global despawn times for items and XP orbs (default is 12,000 ticks = 10 minutes).
  • Minecraft’s vanilla despawn time is 6,000 ticks (5 minutes).
• Player Item Protection:
  • Option to prevent items dropped by players from despawning-great for death recovery or manual drops.
• Per-Item Configuration:
  • A config file is generated with all item names, allowing you to assign specific despawn times to each item.
  • Values:
    • -1 = use global setting
    • 0 = item never despawns
    • Any positive number = custom despawn time in ticks

Commands:

• /cdt usage: Displays command help.
• /cdt reload: Reloads changes made to the config file without restarting the game.
