Better Compatibility Checker Mod (26.2, 1.20.1) – Version Matching

Better Compatibility Checker Mod is a utility designed to improve the compatibility checking process for Minecraft servers and modpacks.

Features:

• It replaces the default Forge server compatibility checker, ensuring more accurate results when comparing modpack versions between servers and clients.
• The mod compares the modpack project ID and version ID set in a configuration file by the modpack author. It displays a green checkmark if they match or a red “X” if they don’t.
• Modpack authors can easily configure the mod by editing a file (bcc-common.toml for Forge or bcc.json for Fabric) to set the modpack name and version.
• If the mod is not installed on the server but is present on the client, it defaults to the standard Forge implementation.
