Simple Armor Expansion adds a large number of new armor sets and tools from familiar materials. The mod expands survival options by giving each set unique effects, from attracting experience to dealing damage to enemies. In Minecraft Bedrock you can choose equipment to match your playstyle. Equipment types include: Cactus (tools stronger than Stone but weaker than Copper, area damage; armor stronger than Leather but weaker than Copper, deals damage on hit); Web (analogous to Wood, can slow enemies; armor slows on damage received); Redstone (tools better than Stone, attract items and experience; armor better than Leather); Lapis (analogous to Stone, give more experience); Stone (weak armor with only 6 protection and low durability); Quartz (analogous to Copper, armor gives mining speed but reduces damage); Bone (analogous to Iron but break quickly; armor slightly worse than Iron with low durability); Wood (very weak armor with 5 protection, easy to craft early game); Coal (analogous to Copper; armor like Stone but slightly more durable); Earth (weakest tools that break quickly; armor gives 4 protection and almost doesn't hold); Obsidian (very durable tools; armor more durable than Iron but weaker than Diamond); Bedrock (better than Netherite but cannot be crafted; armor provides strong damage resistance); Amethyst (analogous to Copper; armor slightly weaker than Copper but gives regeneration); Emerald.
