Dynamic light is a convenient feature in Minecraft that allows you to illuminate space with a torch without placing it. The only problem is that a torch cannot be held in the left hand. So why not use items that can be held in the left hand for lighting? For example, a shield. So the Light-Emitting Shield mod will make shields glow to light the way while being protected. First craft a torch, find iron, get iron ingots and wood, then craft a shield. Now the shield will illuminate caves. New changes include Totem of Immortality gaining glow, removal of some elements, and glowing items glowing even when dropped.
