Dynamic Light Addon

Stop breaking trees in Minecraft just to get sticks for torches. Let's protect nature, so everyone install the Dynamic Light Addon mod and use just one torch in hand to light up space. When holding any light-emitting item in your hand, the space will be illuminated as if the item or block were placed on a surface. In total, 19 light-emitting items are supported, which are shown in the image below. Use this to avoid spending time on torches, lamps, and campfires.
