Better Ladders
I don't know my version or loader
Open the Minecraft launcher and look at the profile you play on — it names both, like fabric-loader-1.21.4. The version also shows in the bottom-right corner of the game's main menu.
No loader in the profile name? Then it's plain Minecraft, and these mods won't run — you need Fabric or NeoForge installed first.
Better Ladders
This mod has one single purpose:
It changes the vanilla ladder model to be placeable anywhere without any supporting blocks. No need to mess around with barrier blocks anymore.
If the ladder is placed against a supporting block, the ladder is placed rotated against its surface like in vanilla.
If there is no supporting block, the ladder faces the direction of the player.
Destroying supporting blocks does not destroy the attached ladder anymore!
Additional Info
- removing the mod completely will still keep the floating ladders in your world, only a block update by placing a block where the vanilla ladder expects a 'supporting block' will make the ladder pop off
- for the 3D model ladder please use one of the many 3D ladder resource packs
