What is AllTheMons x Mega Showdown?

AllTheMons is a collaborative effort from many contributors to add as many Pokemon as possible to Cobblemon. All of the addons below have been modified to ensure that there's no overlap, which prevents game-breaking bugs/crashes you would experience without AllTheMons. AllTheMons x Mega Showdown aims to bring that experience to all of you that use MSD and don't want to miss out on using ATM in conjunction!

This requires Mega Showdown and don't use this together with regular AllTheMons - you replace ATM with ATM x MSD!

Addon & Mod suggestions:

The following addons and mods are personally approved and/or tested my me and my recommendations. They feature full compatibility with AllTheMons x Mega Showdown and might make your game a little bit cooler!

Legendary Monuments

Adds many Structures and Dimensions where legendary Pokémon can be obtained. ATM x MSD automatically disables random legendary spawns from this addon if installed (only the ones that are obtainable through LM)

Lost Lore

Adds many Pokémon from the extended canon that is the Anime/Movies, Manga, Side Games and more. Okay it's my own addon so #ad I guess?

Better Caps

Tired of Pikachus flat brim? Better Caps turns his cap into an actual three-dimensional piece of art. Also my addon tbf but I wouldn't have made it if I didn't feel like someone might need it!

How to install:

Generally, most Cobblemon addons that add Pokémon are both data & resource packs in one file, so installing them automatically via the modrinth launcher won't work - You have to do it manually. Please follow the instructions below to make sure ATM x MSD is properly installed and can function as intended!

Singleplayer:

Put the .zip in /saves/[WORLDNAME]/datapacks not /datapacks
Put the .zip in /resourcepacks
Enable in game ESC - Options - Resource Packs

Servers:

Put the .zip in /world/datapacks
Sometimes it's called myworld, or something similar, sometimes it has a name instead
If you're in doubt about the correct folder, consult your server providers guide on how to add datapacks

Every Player has to have the .zip installed as a Resource Pack
Best option if for them to have it installed and enabled in their clients
It's possible to add them to server resources, but note that there have been issues with this for some cobblemon addons, so try whatever method suits you better

What does ATM x MSD include?:

• Overrides some Models in Cobblemon & MSD to provide better ones
• Adds more than 130 unique Pokémon to expand Cobblemon!
• All of them are obtainable in survival without compromises!
• Fixed & added most Pokédex entries and descriptions
• Adds all missing recipes from Mega Showdown
• Riding support for lots of the added Pokémon
• Somewhat lore accurate spawn locations

Where all included Pokémon spawn:

1. Join the AllTheMons Discord
2. Type !spawns in the bot-commands channel
   From there our fully automated bot will tell you all about the spawns - including rarity, spawn conditions, requirements and biomes. It also includes all base Cobblemon spawns so you can find everything in one place.

NOTE: REMEMBER - ATM x MSD will automatically disable random spawns for the legendaries obtainable in Legendary Monuments (if installed)! Refer to their wiki or the documentation linked above to check which ones are included in LM.

NOTE no.2: Don't ask questions about AllTheMons x Mega Showdown or Mega Showdown itself over there, and note that most commands over there don't apply to this version
If we notice continued breakage of that rule you'll be muted/banned and won't be able to receive any support/usage of the spawn bot.

As mentioned above - those will not show in creative, JEI/REI/EMI, you have to craft them.

Ancient Light Ball

• Give Pichu to hold (cosmetic slot) to turn it into the HG/SS Spiky Eared variant

Binding Armor

• Right-click Mewtwo to turn it into his Armored variant

Corrupted Wish

• Right-click Groudon to turn it into his Meta form (Wish Maker Movie)

Green/Red Scarf

• Give Lucario/Riolu to hold (cosmetic slot) for a Mystery Dungeon inspired scarf

Pledge Fragment

• Give Keldeo to hold (cosmetic slot) to turn it into its Resolute form (cosmetic only)

Shadow Energy

• Right-click Mewtwo/Lugia to turn them into their Shadow variants

Time Gear

• Give Dialga to hold to turn it into its Primal State (from Mystery Dungeon)

Water Shuriken

• Give Greninja to hold (cosmetic slot) to turn him into Ash Greninja (cosmetic only)

Shadow Mewtwonite X/Y

• Give Shadow Mewtwo to hold so it can Mega evolve into the Shadow Megas

Slowbrogonite

• Give galarian Slowbro to hold so it can Mega evolve into a Galarian Mega

Costume Boxes

• Right-click Lucario/Incineroar with their respective box to switch costumes

Due to the collaborative nature of this addon and the amount of different assets added - there's lots of incompatible mods and addons. The lists below include stuff that is incompatible with Mega Showdown itself (since well, this addon requires it)

Premade Modpacks:

• You can get it to work but since they might use lots of incompatible addons for core aspects of gameplay, it’d be a lot of file management to fix it. You're better off leaving it as it is since or make your own one with the entire incompatible addons list in mind. If you want to make it work any modpack, your best advice is asking the modpack author or people in their discord for help/advice.

• Cobblemon Megas, Cobblemon Showdown Assets, Cobblemon Updated Enhanced, Complete Cobblemon Collection (CCC), Hiddenmons, Hulis Z-Crystals, Legends Untold (& Reborn), Myths & Legends

Permissions & License (usage on modpacks/public servers)

All Developers of these packs gave their full permission for their assets to be used, proof of these can be found within the addon file, in a folder titled "Proofs of Permission"
We did not create any models, textures, or animations, that's not to say the ATM team didn't do anything though - this pack has hours and hours of work put into its spawns, species files, bug fixing, creating documentation, and much, much more, all done by EasySqueeze, Mayayoh, N8nt and myself.
Due to the collaborative effort, AllTheMons has a strict license to make this even possible in the first place. Read it before starting a server or modpack containing the addon. You can find it here.
