Advancius — is it up right now?

A small survival server with an economy I've been pinging mc.advancius.net every ten minutes since October 11, so everything below is something I measured, not something they told me.

Paste it exactly as it is — no http:// in front. Phones like to add one; Minecraft answers “Invalid server address” to it. Minecraft also asks for a Server Name: that is only a label in your own list, so type anything — “Advancius” does fine.

What I actually know

• 97 people are playing there right now.
• It's busiest around 19:00 UTC and quietest around 06:00 UTC.
• It answered 99.8% of my checks over a week.
• The longest it stayed down in one go was 10 minutes, on October 20.
• The most I've ever seen there is 117 players, on October 18.

When people actually play there

Average players by hour, over the last 14 days. Times are UTC.

How to join from your phone

1. Copy the address above.
2. Open Minecraft, tap Play, then the Servers tab.
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Add Server.
4. Name it anything, paste mc.advancius.net as the address, port 19132.

In short

• Free to join. All you need is Minecraft itself.
• Modes: survival, economy, skyblock.
• Chat there is mostly in English.
• The server itself sits in North America.

Others a bit like it

• DonutSMP 29,324 online
• Hypixel 29,112 online
• The Hive (NA) 16,356 online
• The Hive 16,349 online
• The Hive (EU) 16,344 online

This server isn't mine — I only list it, and its chat, rules and staff are its own. What I can vouch for is the measuring: one packet every ten minutes, and if it goes quiet for half an hour it drops off the list by itself.
