best server I've been pinging play.applemc.fun every ten minutes since August 20, so everything below is something I measured, not something they told me.

Paste it exactly as it is — no http:// in front. Phones like to add one; Minecraft answers “Invalid server address” to it. Minecraft also asks for a Server Name: that is only a label in your own list, so type anything — “play.applemc.fun” does fine.
