У него очень бедная семья и маленький заработок. По телевизору Сэм узнаёт о том, что известная компания Expanse изобрела какое-то устройство, и каждый желающий может его испытать и получить 500$. Естественно, чтобы спасти семью, он решается на это. К сожалению, все оказывается вовсе не так, как ему хотелось.
