Hillsborough - New England City

I started building this on my phone in the winter of 2016 and it's been my pet project for nearly half a decade now.
Hillsborough is meant to be a representation of the typical mid-sized New England city - think Worcester or Providence - and is meant to capture both the interesting and the mundane, everyday details of the urban built environment.
This has been built entirely by hand, with no editing software. Each house, building and street is unique. It's still a work in progress, and it's nowhere near finished.

Hillsborough is designed to be the state capital of the fictional seventh New England state of Pascal.
Features include:
-A downtown/central business district with skyscrapers
-Thousands of houses and buildings
-A light rail/streetcar system (Capital Area Rapid Transit; CART for short) with three branches: green, blue, and purple.
-Several housing types including apartment buildings, rowhouses, triple deckers, duplexes, and single-family homes.
-Several architectural styles ranging from pre-colonial to postmodernist.
-Several distinct neighborhoods
-List of neighborhoods:
  -Downtown/Central Business District - the city's main commercial district. Most of the city's skyscrapers are located here.
    -Downtown includes four sub-districts: Financial District, Leonard Square, Central Square, and Uptown.
    -Major thoroughfares: Vernon Ave, Baker Ave, High St, Pullman St/Spring St/Crosstown Connector, Fort Ave, Low St, Edgewater Ave
    -CART stations: Downtown, Derby Hill, Midtown, Uptown, Edgewater Square
  -Greenview - one of the city's oldest residential districts.
    -Major thoroughfares: Islington Ave, Leominster St
    -CART station: Greenview
  -Cranston - Industrial/warehouse district.
    -Major thoroughfares: Fort Ave, Leominster St, Oxford St
    -CART station: Oxford Square
  -Government Center - secondary business district/government district
    -Work in progress
    -Includes Hillsborough's City Hall as well as the State Capitol Complex, and also various state courts.
    -Also includes several high-rise office buildings and skyscrapers
    -Major thoroughfare: Fort Ave
    -CART station: Government Center
  -South End/Farside - Working-class residential neighborhood.
    -Neighborhood includes three sub-districts: South End, Farside, and Hillsborough Beach
    -Major thoroughfares: Cheyenne Ave, Morren Ave
    -Most of the city's public beaches are in this area.
    -Includes a small business district centered on Cheyenne Ave
    -CART stations: Grandville St, Farside
  -Gebb's Island - Working class/middle class residential neighborhood.
    -Work in progress
    -Neighborhood includes two sub-districts: Gebb's Island and Little Island
    -Little Island contains McGovern Station, Hillsborough's commuter rail/Amtrak station
    -Little Island now also contains mixed use commercial/residential development called "Station Landing"
    -Major thoroughfares: Island Ave, Morren Ave, Second Street, Lake Ave
    -Includes a small business district centered on Island Ave and Second Street.
    -CART stations: Gebbs Island, McGovern (Commuter Rail and Amtrak connection)
  -Peninsula - small working-class residential neighborhood
    -Major thoroughfares: Vernon Ave
  -Alleghany Hill - small working-class residential neighborhood atop a steep hill

  -East End - working class residential neighborhood

    -Includes Hillsborough High School
    -Includes a commercial district along Eastern Ave and another small commercial district along North Ave.
    -Major thoroughfares: Eastern Ave (State Route 122), Yarmouth Street, North Ave
    -CART stations: East End, City Limits
  -Lexington - historic residential neighborhood
    -Neighborhood includes two sub-districts: the upper-middle class Lexington and the working-class West Lexington.
    -Includes a small commercial district centered on Lexington Square.
    -Major thoroughfares: Islington Ave, Bay St, Felarca St
    -CART stations: Lexington, West Lexington
  -Shailerville - the city's largest residential neighborhood
    -Work in progress
    -Includes a commercial district centered on Lafayette Square
    -Includes Castle Park, a large greenspace built around a historic late-16th Century French colonial citadel (the citadel itself is currently closed to the public; it was previously open as a museum.)  
    -Major thoroughfares: Islington Ave, Shailer St, Merrimack St
    -CART station: Lafayette Square  
  -Ashby Hills - working-class residential neighborhood
    -Work in progress
    -Includes a small commercial district along Shailer St
    -Major thoroughfares - Lehigh St, Shailer St
  -Mount Auburn - probably the city's worst neighborhood, by many measures.
    -Neighborhood includes two sub-districts: Mount Auburn, and Auburn Heights.
    -The neighborhood is partially abandoned and there are many vacant and crumbling houses and buildings
    -Was formerly the home of Hillsborough State University (HSU)
    -Many businesses closed after HSU relocated downtown, and the resulting economic downturn caused the Mount Auburn neighborhood to devolve into a crime-ridden hellhole
    -Part of the neighborhood has remained flooded (and uninhabitable) for years after a water main break. The City has done nothing about it. I smell a conspiracy.
    -Major thoroughfares: Oxford St, Howard St, Durham St, Mt. Auburn St
    -CART stations: Mt. Auburn (includes Union St annex a block away), Auburn Heights

Other work-in-progress features include:
-Two neighboring towns (so far): Tarrantown and Abbotsville
-A commuter rail line through the surrounding towns, connecting them to Hillsborough's McGovern Station (work in progress, 20% complete)
