The city of Stockholm, Sweden in real-life scale (1.20.6)
Note: I use some mods that add more blocks to the game - these mods can be found at the bottom of the page
This is my ongoing project of building the Swedish capital city in full scale, one block at a time⛏️
The terrain was generated using the 1.12.2 mods Terra++, CubicChunks and CubicWorldGen. Terra++ uses satellite and topography data to generate a world where 1 irl meter = 1 block, while CubicChunks extends the height limit.
These mods are not required to run the savefile however - in order to have more blocks available I save parts of the 1.12.2 world using Litematica and import them to a more up-to-date 1.20.6 world.
Therefore 1.20.6 is the recommended version to play this map on, since I can't guarantee that the save will work on other versions.
Progress as of 2024-11-08:Around 85 buildings in Gamla Stan (Old Town) completed. Notable builds include:
- Kungliga slottet/Stockholms slott (the Royal Palace/Stockholm Palace)- Tyska Kyrkan (German Church)- Storkyrkan- Nobel Prize museum
I will from time to time update the downloadable world save as more buildings get completed

Permission of the author of the map for the bedrock port of this world
There are many modifications in the world. In the future, I will be replacing the "update" blocks with blocks from mods. As it is, the port looks good now and everything is working fine. The link is as usual.
