NOTE: THIS MAP IS FOR BEDROCK EDITION VERSION 1.19+
UPDATE: READ BELOW
The sequel is complete and is being uploaded. You can find it on my Planet Minecraft page.
This is my first map that I am publicly uploading, and I hope you guys like it. I am currently working on a continuation of it. This is a challenge/adventure map with 3 challenges for you to complete, set in an abandoned laboratory which is in the middle of a renovation. This map also has sort of a plot to it, however it should be clearer in the sequel. It shouldn't take you very long to beat, however, I made this map for single-player gameplay, so it is not meant for multiplayer, however you can try it if you like.
Here is the plot WARNING!!! SPOILERS!!!
You are walking around and stumble across what seems like a public gazebo made out of stone. However, you do not realize that you are currently on the property of a laboratory notorious for kidnapping regular people and running tests on them. What kind of tests? They are in the name of the laboratory: DEH Laboratories. DEH stands for Dangerous Experiments on Humans. You see a book in front of you. Inside it you find an old Telegram from a visitor. It says that he is sick of the flickering lights in the gazebo, and that there is a generator on top. You decide to head on top of the generator, and you find out that sector 1 is unstable, which is causing the flickering, and sectors 2 and 3 are entirely offline. You see a note which says that the levers don't work at all, meaning you can't fix the problem with the generators. You notice a path and decide to head inside the seemingly abandoned laboratory. As you get closer, you notice that the laboratory seemed to be in the middle of a renovation, with some parts being made out of bricks, and others being remodeled. You try to get in through the main entrance, but you need to enter a code. Since you don't know the code, you look around for other ways in. You spot a hole in the construction fence for the remodeling of the exterior. You fit through it and climb the scaffolding on the DEH logo. You break in through the skylight. Looking around, you notice that there is a notice which says that all testing has been moved to the remodeled area, meaning it probably used to take place in the brick area. You also spot a cafe, and next to the cafe are some flickering lights, which are supplied by the power from Generator G. You look at the remodeled area, and notice iron bars enclosing the testing area. You decide to head in, and notice a sign that says the wall to the left of you is lined with cells containing test subjects. You continue walking, and see that there are three tests. The first one requires you to fight a skeleton, the second one is parkour, the third one is the Warden, and the fourth one is being constructed. As you proceed to the exit, you realize it is blocked by the bricks, forcing you to enter the employees only area, in hope of escaping the laboratory. You see a dark room, and as you walk toward the lantern, tripwire hooks light up the way. You see a sign that says Killing Chambers, and another sign that says Turn back. At the end is a book that says It......was.......her! The rest of the story is told in the sequel which I am making, The Abandoned Laboratory 2
Comments from the creator:
The generator, cafe, and code pad are really just easter eggs and are there for you to try and find them. They do not provide any function other than to contribute to the mystery of the map.
I hope you enjoy playing the map. I cannot wait until the sequel is finished so I can upload it and you can try it.
How to install:
If you choose to install the zip file, you need to extract it, take out the folder that is inside of it, and move the folder to your MinecraftWorlds folder.
EDIT: Removed Google Drive link due to problems with the link. Now you are only able to download the ZIP file. If you need any help installing it on mobile devices, try connecting to a Windows PC.
UPDATE:
In the barrel for the first chest, I fixed the paper which I forgot to translate into English. It now shows the correct text. The reason was that this map was originally for my Ukrainian cousin, but later I translated all the signs to English, but forgot to translate the paper to English. Please let me know if you find any more issues, and sorry that I am late to notice this issue, but I am currently working on the map's sequel and hope to release it in the near future. Have a good rest of your day!
