If you want to change the material of the sphere. You can place a repeating commandblock (always active) with this command and fly around the ball
/execute at @a run fill ~-10 ~-10 ~-10 ~10 ~10 ~10 <block> replace glowstone

And no, it is not possible to build a sphere in this size by hand. I`ve created a blender 3D ball and voxelized it
