LAAT/i

The Low Altitude Assault Transport was the main troop transport in the GAR navy and was seen in many of the conflicts of the greater conflict, The Clone Wars and saw light use during the reign of the Galactic Republic's successor the Galactic Empire. The LAAT/i was a reliable gunship, being able to transport around 30 passengers at once while also being able to carry AT-RTs for quick deployment onto various Battlefronts. Additionally the LAAT gunship was quite well armed with of chin mounted laser cannon turrets, 2 mass driver missile launchers and an additional pair of beam laser turrets that were optional. The LAAT/i saw frequent use all throughout the Clone Wars, spawning a line of ships that included the larger LAAT/c that were designed to carry the GAR's Walkers such as the AT-TE and the LAAT/le which was a more compact offshoot of the design made to police Republic Worlds such as the Capital of Coruscant.
