Every vanilla mob gets a health bar floating above its head with Simple Health Bar, a texture pack that works without any experimental features enabled. Seeing how much health a creature has left makes fights and mob encounters easier to read.
Three display styles are available. The classic bar shifts color from green to red as a mob loses health. Another style uses a green bar for passive and neutral mobs and a red bar for hostile and dangerous ones. The third style drops the bar and shows a live percentage of the mob’s remaining health instead, which suits players who prefer exact numbers.
