Sky replacements are the whole point of Custom Skies/Cubemaps, a texture pack that swaps the default sky for a choice of cubemaps. Players switch between them through the subpacks menu, which allows some customization of the in-game atmosphere.

There are 6 in-game options: Desert Dark Sky, Neon Night cubemap, Galaxy Oilpainted, Galaxy cubemap, Dark Red Sky and Anime fantasy. The Desert Dark Sky suits a subdued mood, Neon Night gives an artificial glow, Galaxy Oilpainted has an artistic, stylized look, and the plain Galaxy cubemap is a classic starry sky. The skies were generated with Adobe Firefly.

Requirements:

stylized night sky with crescent moon, stars, and fluffy clouds

Features:

Screenshots:

vibrant purple and green aurora borealis over a dark forest

swirling blue and purple nebula, resembling a cosmic vortex

dramatic red and orange sky with dark, stormy clouds

abstract starry night sky with stylized planets and cosmic swirls
