FPS OverRide
Bedrock texture pack listed for Minecraft 26.x. Download on the author's site.
Boost Bedrock FPS by trimming heavy particles. Same look, no texture changes, with in-game profiles from Balanced to Max FPS.
⬇ Download on CurseForge# ⚡ Overdrive FPS
**A particle optimizer for Minecraft Bedrock.** It makes the game draw fewer, lighter particles in busy scenes, so you get smoother FPS and lower CPU/GPU load. **No texture changes. Your game looks the same.**
> 🟡 **Not a texture pack, not an engine rewrite.** Bedrock doesn't let packs replace the renderer (like Sodium on Java). Overdrive targets what a pack *can* change: particles.
## ✨ Features
- 🎛️ **In-game settings menu**: tap the gear on the pack to choose a profile
- ⚖️ **Balanced**: looks like vanilla (recommended)
- 🚀 **Boosted**: more FPS, still lively
- 🔥 **Max FPS**: for low-end devices
- 🛠️ **Custom**: sliders for Effect and Ambient particles, plus a Smart physics toggle
- 🔄 **Off**: vanilla particles, so you can compare FPS
- Works in **Global Resources**, so it applies to every world
## 🎯 Where you'll notice it
PvP fights, explosions and TNT, forests with falling leaves, campfires, nether portals, mob farms, rain and bubble elevators. In an empty field the difference is small.
## ✅ What it does NOT touch
Textures, mob animations, block animations (water, lava, fire), and gameplay particles you need to see (fishing bobber, note blocks, totem pops, warden sonic boom, candles).
## 📥 Install
1. Download and open the `.mcpack` file. Minecraft imports it.
2. Go to **Settings → Global Resources** and activate **Overdrive FPS**.
3. Tap the **gear** on the pack and pick a profile.
If a change doesn't show up, leave and rejoin your world.
## 📌 Requirements
- Minecraft Bedrock **26.10 or newer** for the settings menu
- Older version, or no gear icon? Use the **Classic** file (a simple Max FPS / Boosted / Balanced selector)
- Use only one of the two files at a time
## 📊 Results
In my test on a Realme Narzo 80 Lite 5G, CPU/GPU load in PvP dropped from about 90%+ to about 75%. Results change from device to device. For the biggest boost, also lower **Render Distance**, set **Mode: Simple**, and set **Framerate Limit: Unlimited**.
## ❓ FAQ
**Does it change how the game looks?** No textures change. On Balanced you'll barely notice fewer particles.
**Will it get me banned on servers?** It's a client-side resource pack that only changes particles.
**Does it work on phones and consoles?** Mobile and Windows, yes. Console support depends on your platform's pack rules.
