Fights get clearer with Better Combat Resources, a texture pack aimed at player-versus-player combat that improves visibility and clarity. Swords, axes, picks and shears are visually shortened to clear the screen, and the fire effect sits lower.
Wool blocks become solid colors so they are easier to tell apart. The block breaking texture turns into a progress bar, and 16 in-game options set its color, though some colors may look different depending on the block being broken. Ores such as coal, copper, diamond, emerald, gold and iron get refreshed looks, along with the sky and many other blocks and items, all at 16x resolution.
