The Raid of Cinder Hollow

The mountain road into Cinder Hollow has gone quiet. The signal fires are cold, the old trestle bridge has fallen into the river, and the gate at the end of the forest is shut tight. You're a courier of the Emberway, and the road is yours to open.

The Raid of Cinder Hollow is a handmade adventure in four stages. A How to Play book in the spawn chest walks you through each one. There are no signposts on the course, so finding the way is part of the fun.

### Features
- **A mountain pass to explore.** Two snow-capped peaks frame the road, with a spruce forest filling the valley between them and a river that cuts a canyon right across the map.
- **Stage 1: The Labyrinth.** A maze of fireproof stone walls four blocks high. Find the three cold signal fires on their raised platforms and light them with flint and steel.
- **Stage 2: Timberfall.** 22 jumps that wind back and forth across the broken middle of a dark-wood trestle bridge. You'll grab ladders, take long drop jumps and land on fence posts. Every jump fits Bedrock's movement. Fall, and you splash into the river and swim back to the ladder for another go.
- **Stage 3: The Forest Road.** The gate is sealed. Somewhere in the woods are three hidden buttons: one on a tree, one on a rock and one on a fallen log. Press all three, in any order, and the gate opens. It's built entirely from vanilla redstone, and every wire is buried out of sight.
- **Stage 4: The Village.** Timber cottages with steep roofs and smoking chimneys sit around a grassy clearing. Climb the platform at its heart for your thanks chest and courier token.
- **Fully vanilla.** No add-ons, behavior packs or experimental toggles.

### Good to know
- The world starts in **Survival** with cheats on, keep inventory on, mob spawning off and coordinates shown. Achievements are turned off because the world has cheats enabled.
- **Play fair.** In Survival you could dig through walls, but the map is meant to be played without breaking blocks. For the purest run, switch to Adventure mode (`/gamemode a`) once you've lit the three fires.
- Pressed buttons stay pressed. If you want to replay from scratch, import the world again.
- Timberfall has no checkpoints. A fall near the end means swimming back to the ladder on the west cliff.
- The hardest jumps are a tight one-up jump midway across and a five-block drop jump near the end. Sprint-jump, and take your time.

### How to install
**Windows, Android, iOS / iPadOS, Fire tablets, Chromebook:**
1. Download `TheRaidOfCinderHollow_v1.0.1.mcworld`.
2. Open the file. Minecraft launches and imports it, and you'll see "Import started" then "Successfully imported".
3. The world appears in **Play → Worlds** as *The Raid of Cinder Hollow*.

**Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch:** consoles can't open world files directly. To play on console:
- **With Realms:** import the world on a Windows, Android or iOS device first. Then go to **Realms → Edit Realm → Replace World** and pick *The Raid of Cinder Hollow*. Open the Realm from your console. Replacing a Realm's world overwrites what's on it, so download a backup of your Realm first.
- **With a friend:** a friend on Windows or mobile can import the world and host it, and you join from your console.

### Compatibility
- Minecraft Bedrock **1.21.120 or newer**, including the current year-numbered releases (26.x).
- Single player. It's built and tuned for one player, though friends can join and explore.
- Not for Java Edition.
