Leaves Lite – Enhanced Foliage
Give Minecraft's trees a more detailed, colorful appearance while preserving the familiar Vanilla+ aesthetic.
Leaves Lite is a lightweight-in-concept, texture-only resource pack with hand-refined 64×64 leaf artwork for different tree species. Tree canopies retain their original shapes and gameplay behavior, but their leaf patterns become more distinctive—from broad oak clusters and delicate birch leaves to soft cherry blossoms and golden poplar foliage.
Foliage varieties
- **Oak:** broad, overlapping green leaves.
- **Birch:** smaller, lighter leaf clusters.
- **Spruce:** dark, needle-inspired foliage.
- **Jungle:** fuller, tropical leaves.
- **Acacia:** warm olive-green leaves with golden variation.
- **Dark oak:** dense, deep-green foliage.
- **Mangrove:** textured tropical leaves.
- **Cherry:** soft, pastel-pink blossoms.
- **Pale oak:** cool, silvery-gray foliage.
- **Azalea / flowering azalea:** distinct regular and floral leaf patterns.
- **Red / orange / yellow poplar:** bright autumn-inspired foliage on game versions featuring these trees.
Features
- Distinct species-specific **64×64 foliage textures**.
- **No behavior pack**, scripts, or experimental custom blocks.
- Automatically changes the appearance of corresponding **vanilla leaf blocks**.
- **Preserves vanilla mechanics:** natural tree generation, growth, leaf decay, and drops.
- Works as a texture-only pack with ordinary graphics, and has been visually tested with **Vibrant Visuals**. Colors and shadows may change by graphics mode/biome.
- No shaders required.
What this pack does not do
This release does **not** add custom 3D protruding branches, change tree shapes, introduce harvestable fruit, or change gameplay. Decorative apples and custom mangrove propagule variants from earlier experimental add-ons are **not included** in this texture-only edition. It replaces the original game textures where supported by the installed Minecraft version.
Installation
1. Download the pack and open the `.mcpack` with Minecraft Bedrock (or import the ZIP as a resource pack, depending on your platform).
2. In the game's Resource Packs settings, activate **Leaves Lite: Enhanced Foliage**.
3. Put it above other packs that replace tree leaf textures.
4. Disable older experimental Leaves Lite resource/behavior packs to avoid conflicts.
