What is Trouble in Mineville?

Trouble in Mineville (TIMV) is a minigame, originally created by The Hive, which was available on The Hive Java edition server. However, this server has been closed on 15.4.2021 and we have lost the availability to play this game. In this map, I have decided to port this minigame to Bedrock edition and I tried my best to make it the most similar to the original gameplay, but it wasn't always possible with just command possibilities. I hope you will like it though!

 

How to play TIMV?

If you don't know this game, rules are described in-game in the Info Book in the Lobby. Just briefly - There are 3 roles - Innocent, Detective and Traitor. Your role will be random each round.

As an Innocent, you must survive! You can see who are the detectives, but you don't know who are the traitors! Watch out for them! Take a test in the traitor tester to let others know that you're innocent!

As a Detective, your goal is to reveal all traitors and try to kill them! You can reveal them in the traitor tester or you can just see them killing other players. Watch their behavior! You can see other detectives but you don't know who is innocent and who is traitor.

Finally, as a Traitor, you must kill all innocents and detectives to win! You can see who is traitor in the actionbar - DON'T ATTACK OTHER TRAITORS AS A TRAITOR.

The Traitor tester is a place where you can take a test to let others know whether you're a traitor or not. After clicking the button in the tester, the nearest player (I'm unable to change this) will be tested. If the lights above the tester turn on, it means that the player who took a test is a traitor! The message about who is taking a test right now will always appear in the chat if you miss it. As a traitor, you shouldn't take a test, but others might want you to do so!

• Before the game starts, you have 40 seconds to gear up during the Loot Phase!
• I recommend playing this game in 4 players at minimum. The more players, the more fun. 12 players is maximum. The game isn't designed for more than 12 players!
• There is a spectator mode in the game!

The Lobby

The place from where you can start the game along with some settings and other useful info! There is also a RESET button in the Lobby - that might help you to debug the game if there are some problems. This completely resets the map and stops the current round. The most problems come when someone leave the world during an active round and then come back. Please don't do this, always try to leave the game only from the Lobby. You can reach the reset button after teleporting to the Lobby (/tp 0 6 0).

Settings

• Change whether you want to play the game during day time, night time or sunset!
• Change the visiblity of scoreboard! (win counter)
• Change the visibility of coordinates!
• Change whether you want to play the game during clear weather or rainy weather!
• Change whether you want to play the game with a speed boost effect!
