The official minecraft font texture is 1024x1024. I was originally going to put that in a "lower resolution" texture pack, until I relized just how UGLY the text was.
As a result, I have made a texture pack that shows how ugly the font can get.
(THE FONT CHANGES ARE ONLY IN ENGLISH SANS-SHIEF. REMEMBER THAT.)
